Pallet Truck Parts - A pallet stacker is a kind of pallet jack that is employed to move, stack and haul palletized merchandise that are overly arduous for manual lifting. Its key purpose is to load and unload pallets on vehicles, and also transferring pallets to and from various locations within a storage space or stockroom. On the whole pallet stackers are constructed of heavy duty materials to withstand tremendous weights. Pallet stackers are occasionally referred to as pallet jacks. They may be operated from a seated, upright or walk-behind position. Pallet stackers are separated into manual and powered varieties.

Pallet stackers are normally comprised of a set of forks that are capable of sliding under a pallet, capable of raising to a desired height or transporting it to a particular location. The motor compartment or casing houses the gas-run, electronic or hydraulic gear that powers the machine.

Manual pallet stackers are hand-powered. They run hydraulically to make hauling heavy pallets an easier task. Typically a walk-behind model meaning they are operated by pulling and pushing the stacker to its desired location. Utilizing a foot pedal or handle raises the stacker's forks. Squeezing a lever or trigger returns the forks to the ground. These types of pallet stackers are ideal for lighter loads of up to approximately 1 ton or 907.18 kg.

Most jacks can accommodate the lifting of extreme weights to around 5 tons with either the gas or electric machines. They are physically less demanding to maneuver than the labor-intensive models thanks to the hydraulic power that hoists and lowers the forks. These versions are steered by turning the handle in a particular direction. There is a button on the handle that functions to hoist and lower the forks. A throttle found on the stacker's handle moves the machine forward and in reverse. This variety of equipment is commonly referred to as a forklift and is operated from a sit-down position.

Selecting the correct version of pallet stacker can be somewhat important as models will have varying lift functionality, together with varying fork widths. Some types of stackers may only tolerate two pallets to be loaded at one time, while other versions might be proficient to load multiple pallets. Certain designs of these hoists feature an adjustable fork so as to allow the jack to slide beneath pallets of unusual sizes and shapes. Multiple fork models may be quite effective when different varieties of pallets are being utilized in the same stockroom.
