Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943. They began as a small machine shop at first hiring four individuals. Sales for their first year of operation totaled 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and different parts. Through five years of operation, the business had expanded to forty employees and their annual sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, manufacturing and selling hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was done in 1956 on a new facility so as to house all the office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. Subsequent to fifteen years of business, total staff reached a hundred and eighty employees and sales had reached practically $2,300,000.
A second manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary move into the global world of the material handling industry while the company recognized interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.
The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The company has expanded its production plants throughout the U.S. with places in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are made internationally because of a lot of subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This facility is made to be the ultimate customer support centre.
Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in 1996 and the year 1997 with the dramatic acquisition of 5 companies, along with the global leader in blades, the Kenhar Corporation.
